L’usine Santa Helena, qui doit plus d’1 milliard de reais à l’Union et aux travailleurs, fait partie du Groupe Naoum, connu pour ses crimes environnementaux récurrents et ses dettes milliardaires envers d’anciens travailleurs et l’Union dans d’autres usines du groupe, comme celle située dans la municipalité de Jaciara (MT). Le latifundium occupé a déjà été l’objet d’une adjudication par la Procuradoria Geral da Fazenda Nacional de Goiás, qui a signé un protocole d’intention avec l’INCRA pour destiner la zone à l’installation de familles sans terre.

The Santa Helena plant, which owes more than 1 billion reais to the Union and workers, is part of the Naoum Group, known for its recurrent environmental crimes and massive debts owed to former workers and the Union at other plants within the group, such as the one located in the municipality of Jaciara (MT). The occupied latifundium has already been subject to adjudication by the Procuradoria Geral da Fazenda Nacional of Goiás, which signed a protocol of intent with INCRA to allocate the area for the settlement of landless families.
