Le Wakashio (わかしお?) est un navire vraquier japonais naviguant sous pavillon panaméen et contenant 3 800 tonnes de fioul, dont l’échouement sur le récif de la Pointe Esny est à l’origine d’une menace de marée noire à l’île Maurice en juillet/aout 2020.

The Wakashio (わかしお?) is a Japanese bulk carrier sailing under the Panamanian flag and containing 3,800 tonnes of fuel oil, whose grounding on the Pointe Esny reef is the source of a threat of oil spill on the island Mauritius in July/August 2020.
